The Perfect Fall Getaway!!!
What a wonderful treat awaits you at Fisherman's Landing in Langston, Alabama; right on the beautiful Lake Guntersville! My family was just on a four day Fall Break with some fishing and relaxation in mind. We were delighted when we reach our Fisherman's Landing destination. For three years now, this quaint, clean and refreshing cottage area is our Number 1 choice for family fun. Not only are the cottages and cabins perfect with all the necessary amenities, but the lawn is so very well kept and the individual spaces for your boat is quite a bonus. A new area for fish cleaning has been installed, with everything you need. There is even a commons area where family and friends can gather under a pavilion for games, picnicking and maybe some guitar sing-a longs! The Landing is located just yards away from a perfect boat slip so it is easy to get your boat in and out of. The owners go above and beyond to make Fisherman's Landing a place you want to keep coming back to you. It is very likely that you will even see Ms. Donna touring the Landing throughout the day checking on folks to make sure that all of their vacation needs are met!

Weekend Getaway for the Family
Rented Cabin 3 for the weekend at the last minute - was not quite sure what to expect. This cabin is amazing! 4 bedrooms, 2 baths - a washer/dryer in cabin. Everything you need is available in the cabin - towels, trash bags, laundry detergent, dishes, etc. Cabin is very comfortable and very nicely decorated! Guys caught fish on Saturday and they had a great place to clean the fish outside. Everything they needed to clean the fish was right there for them! And the covered carport is perfect for the truck and boat! We will definitely stay here again!

Many great things about this place...
My wife and I came from the Metro Atlanta area for firearms training at one of the premiere academies in the US (Shootrite Firearms Academy). Let's start with the gracious southern hospitality. I was born and raised in the South. The hosts made me feel like I was back in my childhood, when folks treated you like they would want to be treated. Donna and Dan are the most gracious hosts I have dealt with in many years. I felt like I was staying with close family. Let's now move on to the cabins and cottages. These are new. They are not tired and worn. My wife and I stayed in cottage #2 (a one bedroom cottage) and it was AWESOME. We asked Donna to show us some of the other cottages and cabins that were currently unrented so we would have an idea of all of the offerings for when we come back. They were all new and in immaculate condition. Not only that, but we could see the attention to detail the owners took to make sure the accomodations were spotless for the next customers. Also, every cabin and cottage has extended covered parking for a vehicle and the boat it is pulling. We didn't pull a boat up there. But it was definitely nice to have a covered area to park our vehicle in the shade so the summer sun didn't turn the interior into an oven. And they now have an ice maker on location to fill your cooler up without having to pay for ice. Another really nice benefit of this place is the quiet and out of the way location. Speaking of which, there was no traffic. And if I remember right, the speed limit is 35 mph on the road out front. That means no one hauling the mail where you are looking for peace and quiet. And to be able to see the stars was a very nice thing since we have so much light pollution from where we come. Now for the location. If you are here for firearms training, you will be centrally located to the only restaurant/store (good food, by the way) and the training academy. You will have no longer than a three minute drive from the cabin/cottage to either the restaurant/store or the training. In fact, I did not see any rental closer to either location. And if you are here for the lake, the same applies. You will not be driving a long way to drop your boat in the water. This location is perfect for any activity. We plan on coming back this summer to rent wave runners/pontoon boat (Donna might be able to help you out if you are looking for the same). I look forward to seeing Donna and Dan again. We miss y'all already!

Family weekend
Our family enjoyed a birthday celebration at South Sauty! Great atmosphere, clean, and well maintained rustic cabin made our time together wonderful! My grandson loved having his own space and didn't want to leave.

Fisherman's Landing-NICE place~We had a great time!
Fisherman's Landing not only has this property but several park model houses only 1/4 mile away from South Sauty dock. We stayed in #2 one bedroom, one bath park model. Everything was so nice. The area is very peaceful. The rental was super clean and modern. There is a grill just outside the covered porch, towels are provided and there is even a storm shelter and ice machine within steps of the one we rented for the week. Donna, who owns the property, was great, very accommodating and made us feel welcome. She ever offered to wash our clothes!! The price was very reasonable. Me and my husband take several trips to Lake Guntersville each year and have found it very difficult to find a rental that is affordable (we only require 1 bed/bath and most rentals are for multiple beds/bath which increase the price). This was perfect!!

Best Place To Stay At Guntersville Lake
I'm always leary of renting a room or cottage at a place I've never stayed before. I'm sure others are as well. Let me assure you need not worry about Fisherman's Landing! The cabin we stayed in was wonderful - clean, roomy, well equiped and comfortable. The rates are more than reasonable and you won't be disappointed. I looked at a 1 bedroom cottage (already thinking about going back with my son) and it was just as unbelievable. No matter whether you rent a cabin or cottage, you will be pleasantly suprised with the amount of room. And I've never stayed at a resort where you had 40' of covered shelter for a boat and vehicle. Two outside electrical outlets made it easy to charge the boat batteries with the on-board charger and use my small charger on the spare battery I had brought. But what seperates this resort from others is the friendly owners, Donna and Dan, and how customer-oriented they are. Donna was making a trip to town and called to see if there was anything she could pick up for us. NOW THAT'S CARING ABOUT YOUR GUEST! I traveled to 44 states and 17 foreign countries during my working years, and I've NEVER had anything like that happen. That's Southern Hospitality at its best. You owe it to yourself to try Fisherman's Resort. I just hope they're not completely booked when I call next time. If they are, I'm happy for them - I'll just have to find when they have a vacancy and reschedule my trip. I wouldn't consider anywhere else on Guntersville Lake.
